Frequently asked questions
Practical answers before you register.
Use these answers to compare the full certificate against individual blocks, understand how formats work, and decide whether this is the right fit for your current HR role.
Can I take just Block I or Block II separately?
Yes. Block I is $1,375 and Block II is $1,575 when taken individually. Most participants get the strongest value from the full certificate at $2,375, but you can register for either block based on your current need.
What's the difference between in-person, virtual, and on-demand formats?
All three formats feature the same current content and professional credits. In person adds face-to-face interaction and networking. Live virtual delivers the same instruction online with Q&A. On demand provides self-paced access over 90 days.
How is this different from Employee Relations Law?
Employee Relations Law focuses more narrowly on legal compliance and employment-law risk. Strategic HR Leadership includes that legal foundation, then adds the strategic HR frameworks needed for workforce planning, retention, performance, and business-partner influence.
Will this help me move from HR generalist to business partner or director roles?
That is one of the clearest use cases for the program. The legal foundation strengthens credibility, and the strategic block helps participants build the language, frameworks, and business perspective expected in broader HR leadership roles.
What continuing education credits will I earn?
The complete program provides 29.75 SHRM/HRCI credits. Enrollment also includes 12 months of quarterly employment law updates, adding 6 more credits across four sessions for a total of 35.75 credits.
Does the $2,375 program fee include everything?
Yes. Tuition includes instruction, program materials, continuing education credits, and the quarterly update benefit. Travel and lodging would be separate only if you choose an in-person session.
Can we send a team or small group?
Yes. IAML can help with coordinating multiple participants, comparing formats, or determining whether the full certificate or a single block is the better fit for your team.
