Faculty Biographies
Ronald W. Taylor is a partner with the law firm of Venable LLP and co-chair of its Labor and Employment practice
group. He represents employers on labor and employment law matters, principally on claims of employment discrimination,
wrongful discharge and occupational safety and health. Mr. Taylor is an active member of the American Bar Association's
Occupational Safety and Health Law Committee and is past management co-chair of the committee. He has defended clients
against citations issued by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and virtually every state plan counterpart
in over 40 jurisdictions. Mr. Taylor has written and spoken extensively on occupational safety and health laws, and has
taught occupational safety & health law at the John Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health. He was
selected, based on client and peer reviews, as one of America's leading employment lawyers by Chambers & Partners,
a respected English firm, and by Woodward/White. Mr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree, with high distinction,
from the University of Virginia. He received his J.D. from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William and Mary, where
he was the Articles Editor of the William and Mary Law Review.
