Faculty Biographies
Angelo Spinola is a Shareholder in the Atlanta office of Littler Mendelson, P.C., where he represents employers across the country in collective, class
and hybrid actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and various state wage and hour laws. Mr. Spinola also assists employers in responding to wage and hour
investigations by the U.S. Department of Labor and state agency equivalents, conducts wage and hour practices audits, and develops compliance measures that minimize
wage hour exposure. His litigation and counseling experience in this area crosses multiple industry sectors. Mr. Spinola also works with global employers regarding
their U.S. employment law related needs and the cross-border human resources issues they face. He regularly assists employers in promoting an issue-free work
environment through counseling, training and other preventive strategies. In addition, Mr. Spinola has extensive employment litigation experience and has litigated
all types of discrimination cases brought under both federal and state discrimination laws, including age, disability, race, national origin, sex, harassment and
retaliation. Mr. Spinola represents management in grievance arbitrations, drafts restrictive covenant agreements and litigates issues related to unfair competition
and the misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of executive employment contract claims, as well as a myriad of common law claims asserted under state laws.
He received his J.D. ,with honors, from George Washington University. Mr. Spinola co-authored Wage and Hour Answer Book, 2008 Edition published by Aspen
Publishers, Inc. and is a contributing author of the book Harassment, Discrimination and Other Workplace Landmines published by Entrepreneur Press. He is a Member of
the Committee on Fair Labor Standards, the Labor and Employment, and Litigation sections of the American Bar Association.
