Faculty Biographies

Steven M. Lichten is President of ESCI EnviroServices, Inc. an environmental and EH&S consulting firm in Long Beach, California and has over 23 years experience in the environmental compliance and occupational EH&S management field. His background includes multi-media environmental and EH&S compliance and management systems auditing; air, water, hazardous materials and waste permitting and compliance/regulatory plan and program development; ISO14001 implementation, training and auditing; CalARP/RMP development; and compliance and risk/liability reduction training. Mr. Lichten provides general multi-media environmental and EH&S consulting plan development and compliance assistance for a wide range of industries and regulatory agencies. He has worked for several large organizations, including Hughes Aircraft, McLaren-Hart Environmental Engineering and Hunt-Wesson Inc. He is an assistant professor for Health Science at California State University, Northridge and is an instructor at the UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach extension programs. Mr. Lichten has authored/presented over 150 technical papers and presentations on a variety of environmental topics. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Environmental and Occupational Health Science from California State University, Northridge. Mr. Lichten teaches customized in-house training programs for IAML clientele.
